Welcome to CleanShot.tools — AI image cleanup, background removal, object removal, and basic enhancement (MVP features) (the “Service”). The Service is operated by CleanShot Tools (sole proprietor) (the “operator”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Eligibility and Account

You must be able to form a binding contract to use the Service. If you create an account, you are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity under your account.

Scope of Service

CleanShot.tools provides AI-powered image cleanup, background removal, object removal, and basic enhancement features. The platform does NOT generate human faces in realistic, cartoon, or anime form. You retain ownership of images you upload. You grant the operator a limited, temporary license to process your images solely to provide and improve the Service.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service and to comply with all applicable laws. Prohibited uploads and uses include, without limitation: illegal, hateful, harassing, abusive, explicit, dangerous, or copyright/trademark‑violating content; attempts to bypass limits, scrape, reverse engineer, or disrupt the Service.

  • Illegal content or activities of any kind.
  • Hateful, harassing, abusive, or discriminatory content; incitement of violence.
  • Sexual or explicit content, exploitation, or any minors-related content.
  • Dangerous or harmful content intended to cause injury or damage.
  • Copyright or trademark infringement; unauthorized use of third-party content.
  • Attempts to bypass limits, scrape, reverse engineer, or disrupt the Service.

AI Processing

Images may be processed by third-party AI providers and related infrastructure solely for the purpose of delivering the Service to you.

Plans, Credits, and Billing

We may offer free, trial, and paid plans or credit packs. Credits are consumed only on successful HD exports as described on the pricing page. Payments are processed by Paddle (see Paddle’s Buyer Terms:https://www.paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms). See the Refund Policy for cancellation and refunds.

Availability and Changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (in whole or in part) at any time with or without notice.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including limitations of liability and disclaimers.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free or that output will meet your requirements; there is no guarantee of specific results.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

Governing Law and Changes

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at the operator’s principal place of business. We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date reflects the latest changes.

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how CleanShot Tools (sole proprietor) (“operator”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use CleanShot.tools.

Data We Collect

  • Email and account data (if you sign up or sign in).
  • Uploaded images and optional masks provided for processing.
  • Technical logs, device/IP, and analytics events for performance and security.
  • Billing and subscription metadata via Paddle (we do not store full card details).

How We Use Data

  • Authenticate users and operate/manage accounts.
  • Process images and provide AI-based features.
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions via Paddle.
  • Prevent abuse, ensure security, and enforce limits.
  • Perform analytics and improve the product.

Third Parties

  • Paddle (payments and subscription processing).
  • Supabase (authentication, database, and storage).
  • AI processing providers (e.g., Clipdrop, Replicate) for image processing.

Image uploads may be processed by third-party AI providers and infrastructure services to deliver the Service. Processing may occur in various regions subject to appropriate safeguards.

Retention and Rights

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to provide the Service and comply with legal obligations. Images may be stored temporarily for processing and delivery. You can request access, correction, or deletion of your account and associated data by contacting support at support@cleanshot.tools. Some data may be retained where required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention, accounting).

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Cookies and Analytics

We may use cookies and similar technologies, along with analytics services, to understand usage and improve performance. You can control certain cookie behaviors through your browser settings.

Refund Policy

Payments for CleanShot.tools are processed by Paddle. Customers are entitled to cancel their purchase and request a refund within 14 days of purchase, in accordance with Paddle’s Buyer Terms.

Billing Errors and Support
